Welcome to FotoFoto

FOTOFOTO is an annual photography competition created by an African and Afro Latino team to celebrate, support, and fund the fight against all forms of discrimination through art and artivism.

With a focus on Latin America and Caribbean, FOTOFOTO is a new photography competition format that provides artists with substantial means to develop their practices outside traditional contemporary art circuits. The cash prizes will be proportional to the number of participants.

Open to professionals and amateurs, the competition calls for entries that explore social justice themes such as environmental justice, LGBTQIA+ rights, anti-colonialism, and indigenous resistance, to celebrate community involvement and inspire positive change.

Finally, this new format also allows anyone over 18 years old to be selected as a paid jury member.

FotoFotorules

  1. The competition is open from March 1st to June 30th 2026.
  2. The entry fee for the Prize is USD 15 (plus applicable taxes).
  3. Participants must be at least 18 years old to enter the competition as photographers or to apply to be in the jury.
  4. Participants must be citizens, residents, or diaspora members of a country in Latin America or Caribbean.
  5. Participants must submit photographs about Latin America or Caribbean that follows at least one of the FOTOFOTO themes.
  6. Participants can only enter the competition once per edition. As a jury or as a photographer.
  7. Photographs must have been taken within the last 3 years or be new original work.
